Reception Class

Reception Class bridges Early Years and what comes next. At King’s Care, we build strong academic foundations, real social confidence, and a lasting love of learning that prepares your child for Primary School.

ABOUT Reception Class

The Most Important Year Before Primary School—Done Right

Reception Class at King’s Care is where everything comes together. Curiosity, social skills, language, and early academics all converge to prepare children for the demands of Primary School. As the most structured stage of Early Years, our programme builds strong literacy through phonics, helping children read, write, and grow in confidence, while mathematics develops from hands-on learning to simple problem-solving and number work.

Just as important is personal growth. Children gain independence, manage their day, build stronger friendships, and develop resilience. By the end of Reception, they are not only more knowledgeable but more confident, capable, and ready for the years ahead.
